In 1976 my parents started their first company called Total Shooting System (TSS) which built the Quadraflex bow, treestands, and releases. In 1983 they sold TSS but retained the release line and started Tru-Fire Corp. I worked at Tru-Fire every summer since I was 12 and all thru high school. After high school I worked full time in the production department and machining. In 1989 I left to try something new and worked for a large manufacturing company. After ten years of acquiring a great deal of experience as the CNC department manager, I ultimately came back to Tru-Fire with a new focus. My wife also came back to Tru-Fire and we literally work side by side. Cheri and I purchased the company from my parents in 2006 which was a proud moment because the company went into its second generation of family ownership. Steve Tentler
